Spike Spiegel and his partner Jet Black are professional bounty hunters (guys who are paid to assasinate people.) They both roam the solar system in their ship which is called the Bebop. Spike has a little flyer of his own in the bebop called the Swordfish II. The reason they are bounty hunters are for no other reason than the fact that they need money. Even after they’ve made a fat commission it turns out that Spike usually causes so much damage to the locals when making the capture it all is gone for reparations as soon as they get it. Another reason for their poverty is the amount of competition, they have. There are over 300,000 bounty hunters operating in the solar system. They all watch one television show called Big Shot. It's like a wild-west styled TV show where they tell you about who is up for assasination and how much are they worth for. Mostly details on fugitives and stuff like. Man, when you got an X - cop (Jet Black), and X -mafia guy (Spike!) and one hot babe (the girl to your right!), your bound to have one spectacular show!
